Windows Phone use in the US has finally started to move in the right direction. Microsoft's mobile platform has been stuck at about 2% of the US market for some time, but according to Nielsen, Windows Phone use moved up to 3% while BlackBerry moved down to 2%.
Most of the growth is probably due to Nokia's line of phones. Windows Phone got off to a very rocky start, but Nokia's hardware and incremental improvements to WP are starting to pay off. Microsoft still has a long way to go because 3% of the market is nearly nothing, but if they can carve out 10-15% in the next year or so they will be on their way to respectability.
