Microsoft kicked off the “Smoked by Windows Phone” challenge at CES as a fun way of showing the world why Windows Phone is faster at doing the things they do on their phones every day. They offered $100 to anyone who could beat Windows Phone. Since CES, they have won 88% of the challenges and 95% if you include the wins from their tour of California.
Apparently Microsoft received a lot of requests to turn the challenges into an ad campaign, and that's exactly what Microsoft has done. This video is the first of the new "Smoked" ad series. Going forward Microsoft will release 15-30 second spots that will run on the web.
