Windows Phone 8 details revealed

Details of Windows Phone 8 have been revealed in a video by senior vice president and Windows Phone manager Joe Belfiore. The video, seen by PocketNow, was intended for Nokia and its partners. In the video, Belfiore discusses several changes coming to Windows Phone 8, and there are several.

  • Multicore processor support
  • Four new screen resolutions
  • NFC support
  • Removable microSD storage
  • Developers can reuse of "most of their code" from Windows 8 Desktop apps to port to mobile
  • ActiveSync will come back
  • 128-bit native BitLocker data encryption for Enterprise
