News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - September 17, 2010

Rescod released a beta version of Resco MobileLight Toolkit, which is optimized for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft Silverlight.

The new controls are designed to improve the development process of applications targeting the Windows Phone 7 platform. These new controls were developed with account to the specific UI standards of the new Windows Phone 7 operating system.

“Windows Phone 7 is a major challenge for us and we consider it a great potential,” said Ivan Stano, Resco Marketing and PR. “The enormous demand to try the new controls from both our customers and companies, which start with the mobile applications development just now, is a clear evidence of Windows Phone 7’s popularity.”

Resco MobileLight Toolkit Beta contains three controls:
  • Resco AdvancedList—sophisticated list control
  • Resco DetailView—elegant user input forms
  • Resco DateTimePicker—visually attractive date/time picker control

“We’re pleased to see additional tools and resources for developers around applications-development for Windows Phone 7,” said Orville McDonald, Technical Product Manager at Microsoft Corp. “Microsoft’s premier mobile application development experience, along with resources like the toolkit from Resco, will enable new and existing developers to tap into the potential opportunity that lies ahead.”

Resco plans to gradually add new controls based on the customers’ feedback. The idea is to create a toolkit built on Silverlight technology, which would be compatible to Resco’s popular suite of controls for Windows Mobile called Resco MobileForms Toolkit.

The release of full version is scheduled for 28th September, 2010.
