Toshiba is taking aim at the iPhone with the announcement of their new phone, the TG01 Windows Mobile phone. The company says the TG01 will "revolutionise the mobile entertainment world."
The Toshiba TG01 is a slim 4.1-inch wide VGA touchscreen handset that is only 9.9mm thick. "We've taken all the technology from our TVs and put that into the screen," said the company's manager for UK and Ireland.
The TG01 sports the new Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset which the company says at 1GHz, will be considerably faster than any device on the market.
The TG01 will run Windows Mobile 6.1 and will handle HSDPA 3G as well as AGPS and GPS.
