Running Gmail on Your Pocket PC Phone

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 03, 2007

Do you feel left out now that Gmail has released a little Java program for cell phones, but it won't run on your Pocket PC Phone?

At pdaBlast! we frankly find it much easier to simply setup a new messaging account for Gmail and download our email via the Pop access to Gmail. To do this you'll fist have to go to Gmail's "Settings" link, and enable Pop access under "Forwarding and Pop." Once that is done you can setup a new account on your Pocket PC Phone and get your Gmail that way.

If you insist on running Gmail's java applet you can check out this link which is a cab file from xda-devlopers.com. Or, you can also try a free Java virtual machine for Pocket PCs by IBM here.
