The new ActiveSync 4.x has a feature where it keeps re-establishing a connection, even if the sync has been stopped or the Pocket PC is off. Here's a little application called NukAS. NukAS, pronounced nook-ass for Nuke Active Sync, will instantly kill running ActiveSync processes or re-establish a connection without the need to restart your machine. The user interface is of a minimalist in design, and according to the developer, NukAS works with ActiveSync 4.10 and Windows XP.
