Ealier this week stories began circulating about T-Mobile dropping the iPAQ 6315 Pocket PC Phone from its lineup. PhoneMag.comis now reporting that they have recieved an internal T-Mobile document related to the 6315. In the document the company acknowledges the problems many customers have had with this handheld, and indicates they are looking for a fix.
The document also indicates that users of the 6315 have the option to exchange their devices for other wireless phones. Options include the Treo 600, the RIM 7100t, and RIM 7730, or a refurbished HP iPAQ replacement.
T-Mobile is apparently working with HP to develop a software upgrade that will fix many of the 6315's problems. A version of this upgrade was released for other iPAQ h6300 series models, but not for the T-Mobile U.S.A. version. If they can get a software upgrade that fixes the reported problems T-Mobile will likely offer the h6315 again.
