Sprint has unveiled new (XDA III) the PPC-6601. Sprint is the first US carrier to offer this Pocket PC Phone. The handset has already been available in Europe under different model names, and should ship from other U.S. carriers as well.
Unlike smaller smartphones this handset is retractable. The smartphone also features Bluetooth to connect to wireless headsets and printers. Interestingly, this device does not include Wi-Fi connectivity
The PPC-6601 runs a 400MHz Intel XScaleCPU with 128MB of RAM. It includes a SDIO Secure Digital slot.
The PPC-6601 sells for $630 without a service plan but can be purchased with a service plan for as little as $479.
