Use your PDA as a Desktop

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 29, 2004

Synosphere is developing a docking station to allow a handheld to function as a desktop computer. The Blue Dock enables you to use a full sized keyboard, and monitor to work on your PDA.

Once a handheld has been placed in the Blue Dock, the user will be able to create, modify, and edit data on a full sized monitor using a full size keyboard and mouse. The dock supports resolutions up to 800x600.

The dock includes two PS2 ports, an SVGA port, and an Ethernet port. An SD card slot provides additional storage capabilities.

Although the Blue Dock is still in development, the company expects to have it on the market during the fourth quarter of 2004 for about $250.
