Pocket Loox 4xx Coming This Year

In a recent report on FirstLoox.org, the site is reporting that it was told by an anonymous source about Fujitsu-Siemens' plans to release the Pocket Loox 4xx. This upcoming model will supposedly run Windows Mobile 2003 on an Intel PXA255 300MHz processor, and run 64 MB of RAM.

Other specifications reportedly to include:

  • SDIO expansion
  • Slim form factor
  • Intel PXA255 300MHz processor
  • 32MB ROM
  • 64MB SDRAM
  • 3.5" transflective (64K colour) display
  • Speaker, microphone, 3.5mm stereo earphone jack, IrDA etc.
  • Removable battery
  • USB sync cable (cradle not included)
  • Windows Mobile 2003
  • Estimated street price of €299 or €335 if Bluetooth included.

    According to the report the developers have not yet decided whether Bluetooth will be included this model or not.

    The report notes an anticipated release of the Pocket Loox 4xx will be sometime in May 2004. It is not known if this model will be released in the U.S.
