Hitachi Announces Multimedia Communicator

Hitachi has announced that they are developing their Multimedia Communicator for CDMA networks. The device will run on the newly announced Pocket PC Phone Edition software and should be available through Sprint PCS in the first half of 2003.

Details about the newly announced device are sparse at this time, but it has been confirmed that it will sport a 400 MHz X-Scale processor. In addition the Multimedia Communicator will feature a built-in camera and a built-in keyboard.
