Sony Announces Everquest for Pocket PC

Sony Online has announced that they are releasing Everquest, one of the world's most popular fantasy adventure games, for the Pocket PC platform. The game is in the final stages of development, and the release should happen before Thanksgiving. It is believed that the retail for the game will be $19.95.

In Everquest you take the form of one of four character classes and complete 10 major quests across 15 different adventure areas. Everquest for the Pocket PC includes the following features:

  • More than 25 types of monsters, including Skeletons, Orcs, Zombies, and Necromancers, each with their own attack style and unique attributes
  • 12 different levels of experience giving players character growth potential to handle any enemy
  • Hundreds of items to collect, sell and use, from swords and shields to one of a kind magical items
  • Large game world with familiar EverQuest locales including Freeport, Oasis and Neriak, and dungeons such as Befallen, the Spectral Isles, and Freeport Tunnels
