Microsoft sure is targeting the low end tablet market recently. We have seen tablets come down to record lows. The Winbook 700w was a prime example at $70, but now comes a new contender at $48. The MOMO7W is a 7 inch Windows 8.1 tablet available in China for a ridiculously low $48 (299 yuan).
For your 299 yaun you get a 7-inch display running at 1024 x 600, 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage with HDMI out and SD card slot. Those are not stunning specs by any means, but the price is right.
The odd thing is the MOMO7W comes with a 1-year subscription to Office 365. Microsoft currently charges $99 for a one year subscription to Office 365, so you're getting a free tablet and $51 off the subscription.
The MOMO7W won't likely make it to the US, but if you can get your hands on one it might definitely be worth it. Even using it as a dedicated Skype security camera would make it worth the price!
