Ex-Nokia CEO and current VP at Microsoft, Stephen Elop, is apparently not very fond of Bing or XBOX. Unnamed sources have spoken to Bloomberg and predict that if Elop is named Microsoft CEO, he would abandon Bing, and sell of XBOX. What? According to Bloomberg, Elop would also change the way Microsoft markets Office, and broaden its base to include iOS and Android.
XBOX seems like a very popular brand, but Bing is apparently losing money in a huge way. It hasn't crossed the 20% marketshare line, and has lost billions of dollars. Whether Elop is CEO or not, it sure seems like Bing's days are numbered.
The only question left is will Elop actually be named CEO? At this point, it seems doubtful. Multiple rumors suggest Microsoft is going off campus for the next leader.
