Sprint is the last of the major carriers to announce plans to offer Windows Phone 8 devices. The company recently told PC Mag that it plans to offer the Microsoft phones in 2013.
"Sprint and Microsoft are partnering to bring Windows Phone 8 to Sprint's customers — operating on its 4G LTE network — next year," said the carrier in its statement.
Previously Sprint had offered one Windows Phone 7 handset, the HTC Arrive. Even though the Arrive had lackluster sales, the company seems bullish on Windows Phone 8.
