Windows Phone has reached another milestone as it tries to catch up with rival mobile platforms. Microsoft's mobile platform now has 30,000 apps in its marketplace. While 30,000 still lags far behind industry leaders Apple (425,000 apps) and Google (250,000 apps) , it represents significant growth for Microsoft. In March, Windows Phone had only 11,500 apps.
Microsoft also reports that all Windows Phone 7 apps will run on its next OS, Mango.
