Microsoft expects to sell 30 million Windows Phone 7 devices by 2011

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - May 27, 2010

Microsoft has set some lofty goals for its Windows Phone 7 devices. The company presented a slide slow during a ReMix event in Paris yesterday, and the company said it is expecting to sell 30 million Windows Phone 7 devices by the end of 2011. It's been so long since we heard any significant Windows Mobile or Windows Phone news that we've sort of counted Microsoft out of the mobile game. If their predictions come true, that could be a big mistake.

Windows CE and Windows Mobile have been big players in the enterprise mobile world for years, but more recently RIM's BlackBerry and Apple's iPhone have gotten all the news. Can Microsoft recreate itself with Windows Phone 7 and other devices like the Kin? Stay tuned.
