HP has apparently halted the Slate tablet project. According to TechCrunch, a "source tells us that HP is not satisfied with Windows 7 as a tablet operating system and has terminated the project."

HP was on its way to building a Windows 7 tablet device, but the recent news that the company is acquiring Palm has thrown a wrench in their plans. This is bad news for Windows fans, but great news for webOS fans. It's almost certain now that there will be a webOS tablet device on the horizon.
