Windows Phone 7 Marketplace to have 5,000 Apps

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - December 28, 2010

The Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is just about to hit an important milestone tomorrow. The Marketplace will feature 5000 apps. The Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is growing rapidly as it just passed 4000 apps 12 days ago. A lot of people have been counting Microsoft out of the mobile market, but a company as large as Microsoft can always make an impact.

At its current pace of growth the Marketplace could overtake Palm’s webOS App Catalog next month.

Microsoft recently announced that there are some 1.5 million Windows Phone 7 devices globally so they are on the rise. Microsoft is still way behind the pack, but this time next year they will surely start making a dent into the marketshare.
