Palm drops Windows Mobile in favor of WebOS

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - September 18, 2009

All the Windows Mobile Treo users are going to be disappointed by the news that Palm is apparently dropping Windows Mobile. Jon Rubinstein made it official during Palm's financial results conference call.

"Due to importance of webOS to our overall strategy, we've made the decision to dedicate all future develoment resources to the evolution of webOS. Which means that going forward, our roadmap will include only Palm webOS-based devices"

It looks like Palm will focus exclusively on WebOS devices from now on. What does that mean for the Treo line? Could we see a WebOS Treo? Possibly, but Windows Mobile users will have to find a new device.
