Windows Marketplace to accept submissions July 27

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - July 14, 2009

The Windows Marketplace will begin to accept submissions to its database beginning July 27, according to the announcement made at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference this week. The Windows Marketplace will be included in Windows Mobile 6.5 which is slated to be out later this year.

There is good news for Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 users as Microsoft has also announced that the Windows Marketplace will come to legacy users later this year as well.

The Windows Marketplace may not create the buzz that Apple's App Store created as Microsoft will be targeting business users instead of retail buyers. Don't feel sorry for Microsoft though. They will find their marketplace profitable as Windows Mobile is used heavily in business applications.
