It appears that RIM has taken the number two slot in the marketshare numbers for smartphones. JKOnTheRun has published an overview of the second quarter for 2008 smartphone marketshare numbers. Symbian still holds the number one position, but RIM has move ahead of Windows Mobile to occupy the number 2 slot. Windows Mobile is now number 3.
