Treo 800w gets July release date on Sprint

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - May 07, 2008

According to WMExperts, Sprint will be releasing the Treo 800w on July 22. No word on where they got the information but it seems to fit the earlier leaked roadmaps for Sprint.

The Treo 800w will have some nice features like Threaded SMS, 320x320 resolution, EVDO rev. A, and GPS.

The Treo 800w has the layout similar to the Palm Centro. We still haven't been able to figure out why Palm would go back to a straight keyboard layout. The original Treo had a straight keyboard but Palm curved the keyboard in later versions of the Treo which made a big difference in typing on the thumb keyboard. Now it appears that Palm is moving back to a straight keyboard again.
