Palm goes after BlackBerry in new ads

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 14, 2008

Palm is taking full advantage of RIM's recent outage troubles, taking shots at the BlackBerry maker's system. Palm has taken out full page ads in newspapers across the country poking fun at RIM's recent problems, and has even changed their homepage at palm.com to state:

"Palm smartphones include voice, e-mail, text, Web, calendar, and contacts. And most importantly, uptime.

Connect to your Microsoft Exchange Server.
No third-party servers and no nationwide blackouts."

Palm has to do something to stop the bleeding. They have been losing market share for quite some time and RIM has been growing like crazy. We like the Palm Treo and Centro phones, but Palm's operating system needs a paint job at minimum. Until Palm catches up with the rest of the wireless world, they will continue to slide.
