Samsung Ace gets Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 16, 2008

If you purchased a Samsung Ace a few months back you're in luck. Samsung has posted a ROM update that will give you Windows Mobile 6.1. You'll also be able to make use of the internal GPS in the Ace.

The Samsung Ace had the GPS hardware but no software to make it work. With the new update, you can now tap into that GPS.

Interestingly the update does nothing to get you on EVDO rev. A. You'll still have to put up with regular EVDO, but at least you get Windows Mobile 6.1.

Check out the link below for the update.
