The Federal Communications Commission has given the thumbs up to a new smartphone likely to debut on Sprint or Verizon. The HTC Iris is a Windows Mobile device that looks similar in style to a Palm Treo. It has a 2.4 inch display and includes WiFi, Bluetooth, and EVDO support. The HTC Iris will also include a GPS receiver and a 2.0 megapixel camera.
