T-Mobile's MDA Vario III

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - July 10, 2007

T-Mobile's German headquarters has announced that it will be the first carrier to pickup the HTC Kaiser and rebrand it as the T-Mobile MDA Vario III. It looks very similar to the original MDA with a slideout keyboard, but this one will run Windows Mobile 6. The HTC Kaiser has a unique feature that allows the display to lock at an angle to the keyboard making it easier to read and write emails.

The MDA Vario III includes a 3 megapixel camera on the back for shooting pictures. Another camera is also included on the front of the unit for video calls.

The MDA Vario III is expected to be released in Germany in August. No word yet on when it will hit the states, but AT&T looks to be the likely carrier. The inclusion of HSDPA support will give this smartphone extra appeal.
