High Tech Budget Accomodations at The Pod Hotel New York

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 06, 2007

Finding a decent price for a hotel in New York can be quite a challenge, especially if you have standards. Finding a hotel for under $100 has been nearly impossible, until now. The Pod Hotel is a new no-frills hotel that offers "hip, convenient, and personalized accomodations for the stylish and spendthrifty traveler."

Located on 51st Street in the heart of Midtown Manhattan just a few blocks from Rockefeller Center, the Pod Hotel offers accomodations under $100. Although small, the Pods (rooms) feature high tech accomodations like iPod docking stations, WiFi access, and flip down LCD TVs.

The Pods range from 80 to 160 square feet and some even feature shared bath facilities. There are options for Queen, standard, and even bunk beds in the Pods. If you simply need a place to bunk overnight, this might be right for you.

Pods with shared baths start at $89, while Pods with private baths start at $139. What a deal!
