i-Mate KJAR Windows Mobile Smartphone Coming to US

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 30, 2007

The US has not seen much of the i-Mate brand even though i-Mate has produced several very cool phones. Most US consumers have instead used HTC phones. Gizmodo has the goods on an FCC filing that shows the i-Mate KJAR is going to make an appearance in the US sometime soon.

The KJAR looks similar to the Cingular 8525 or the Sprint PPC6700 except this one does not slide out, instead it flip flops. The KJAR will ship with 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, a 2-megapixel camera, miniSD expansion, 802.11b, and Bluetooth 1.2. Interestingly it lacks 3G and 802.11g.

Check out the Gizmodo link for more information and pictures.
