HTC Hermes Improves on the MDA

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - June 12, 2006

Those of you who have one of the MDA PPCs will certainly know its limitations. The device is slow, lacks a jog dial, and feels like a brick. It looks like HTC has heard our complaints and they have a new model on the way. Phonearena.com has the pictures and the details.

The new HTC Hermes will include several upgrades to the popular MDA while keeping similar physical dimensions. It will now run on a 400 MHz CPU instead of a 195 MHz processor. The camera has been upgraded from 1.3 to 2 mega pixels with an additional CIF camera located on the front for 3G video calling. The battery capacity is has been increased from 1250 mAh to 1350.
