Skype Unveils New Price Plan and Beta for Windows Mobile

Skype has unveiled a new pricing plan for calls made to the US and Canada. Calls that used to be free will be charged starting in 2007. Customers will have to pay $29.95 a year for unlimited calling in the US and Canada to land line phones. Users who sign up before January 31 can get a 50% discount for a year. Computer to computer calls will still be without charge.

Skype has also released a beta version of Skype 2.2 for Windows Mobile. Skype can now be run on over 120 devices so calls can be made for free via wifi connections.
