Are you a chef that can't remember his/her recipes? Okay, are you just a pretend chef that needs help remembering your recipes? If you're looking for a great cookbook program for your Palm OS PDA you can do no better than PDACookbook Plus by Wakefieldsoft, LLC. This
software is incredibly easy to use lets you store all your favorite recepies in one place. It even makes entering the data easy
with the PC Companion software.
By far, the best thing about PDACookbook in my opinion (aside from its low price) is the PC Companion software that comes with it. Forget about
trying to enter your data in on your PDA. Although you certainly can enter your data via your PDA, it's so much easier to enter your data
on your PC. With the included PC companion software entering your data is a no-brainer. You simply enter your information and when you sync, it's
downloaded to your PDA.
Once you boot up PDACookbook on your PDA it's incredibly easy to get around the program. I found it to be quick and responsive
and easy to find my recipes. In fact, when I ran the program for the first time it immediately showed me a list
of the recipes that are included. With a alphabetical listing at the top of the screen it's easy to move around your
recipe database. After clicking on one of the recipe titles in the list I was taken
to the recipe Viewer screen which contains the details for that recipe.
On the top of the screen there are 4 tabs that organize all your information.
|
- Ingredients - This tab takes you to the list of ingredients that you'll need for your recipe.
- Instructions - This tab obviously lists the detailed instructions on how to make the recipe.
- Nutrition - You can keep track of nutritional information like calories, cholesterol, etc.
- Misc - Add extra notes here.

In addition to the details of your recipes PDACookbook will also help you create shopping lists. It includes a
shopping list creator that helps you create your lists. It's very simple
to enter your lists and you'll always have them with you. One of the advantages
to having your recipes on your PDA is that even if you don't create a separate shopping list, you have the
ingredient list with you while you're shopping so you'll never miss another ingredient again.
Another very cool feature of PDACookbook is the importing and exporting capabilities. Let's say you want to
start using PDACookbook but you've already been using some other program. No problem because PDACookbook will let
you import your data from many of the other popular recipe programs out there. As for exporting you can certainly
export your data with PDACookbook's export tool but you can also export recipes to the Palm OS Memo feature. ]
You can even beam your data to another PDA. Just imagine exchanging recipes with your friends by simply beaming them
to their PDA.

effective. The best part about it is the low price. PDACookbook Plus is only $19.99 which includes both the PDA
software and the PC Companion software. At that price you simply can't go wrong. If you don't want the desktop software
