HP has introduced three new iPaq Pocket PCs, the hx2190, hx2490, and hx2790. These three new iPaqs are updated versions of the hx2110, hx2410, and hx2750 respectively. Although there are some slight hardware differences, the main new features for these iPAQs is the inclusion of Windows Mobile 5.0, and more memory than previous models.
The new iPaqs will be shipping on October 1.
The hx2190 is the low-end model of the hx2000 series. It features an Intel PXA270 312MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, Bluetooth, IR, CF and SD slots, and a 3.5" transflective QVGA screen.
The hx2490 is the mid-range model of the hx2000 series. It features an Intel PXA270 520MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, Bluetooth, 802.11b Wi-Fi, CF and SD slots, and a 3.5" transflective QVGA screen.
The high end model is now the hx2790. It features an Intel PXA270 624MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 192MB ROM, Bluetooth, 802.11b Wi-Fi, IR, CF and SD slots, and a 3.5" transflective QVGA screen.
