Mobile Search Company 4INFO Takes on Google and Yahoo

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - August 17, 2005

4INFO is a new mobile search service that allows you to receive local directory and real-time info wherever you are. This service is FREE with no registration required. According to the company, reviews from consumers on message boards and blogs are "praising 4info as the smarter and more contextual mobile search - better than Yahoo and Google."

Information related to local biz, sports scores, movie times, flight updates, weather, comparison shopping, stock prices and so much more can be sent to you mobile device via 4info.

Users can access 4INFO on the web at 4info.net. 4INFO works much like the mobile searches offered by Google and Yahoo. Users send a text message to the 4INFO server with a query, and receive the results as a text message sent back to them. In this case, users can send a text message to "44636" with a query, and 4INFO will send the results back to you..

If you'd like to try the service check out their web site for a demo.
