DURATEQ 3100 Rugged iPAQ

Softeq Development announced a new rugged handheld called the DURATEQ 3100. The DURATEQ 3100 is built around HP's iPAQ Pocket PC series technology, and is "shockproof, dustproof, and even waterproof" according to the company. It is due out in September.

The DURATEQ handheld runs Windows Mobile 2003 SE from Microsoft, providing maximum compatibility for commercial and custom applications. Extra features include built-in 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth wireless protocols, extended battery life, integrated vibration motor for user notifications, a sealed SD card slot to prevent tampering, and a rugged 6-pin docking connector for charging and USB.
