News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - December 03, 2005

Sharp Electronics is shipping the first Japanese Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone. The Sharp W-Zero3 resembles the HTC Apache and features a VGA display, a slideout QWERTY keyboard, and a 1.3 Mpixel camera. It will initially be offered in Japan by wireless operator Willcom Inc.

The W-Zero3 runs a 416 MHz PXA270 processor and comes with 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of Flash memory.

Built-in wireless connectivity includes 802.11b and "PHS" (Personal Handyphone System), a relatively short-range wireless "microcell" system used primarily in Japan.

In addition to the standard set of Microsoft applications, the W-Zero3 comes with Picsel's PDF Viewer, and Opera 8.5.
