iPAQ Wireless Petition Drive

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 10, 2004

There is a petition drive going on that is trying to persuade HP to resume support of the iPAQ Wireless Pack again. The iPAQ Wireless Pack is an add-on accessory for some iPAQ models that allowed these Pocket PCs to access GSM/GPRS wireless networks.

HP has not released the driver necessary for this expansion pack to be used with handhelds running Windows Mobile 2003. This means that users with older versions of iPAQs can either stick to Pocket PC 2002, or they're out of luck.

HP has already released a statement saying that they are no longer supporting the Wireless Pack.

Kevin Fong has started a petition to convince HP to to continue development and support of the Wireless Pack. You can go to his website at the link below, and sign the petition.
