Clio Making a Comeback

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - November 22, 2004

The Clio is making a come back. Data Evolution Corp. has announced plans to release the Clio NXT, an updated version of an early Windows CE device. Widely remembered as one of the coolest looking CE portables, the Clio left the market several years ago.

Like the original Clio, the Clio NXT will have a rotating screen that will allow it to either be used as a traditional laptop or as a tablet. It also includes both a keyboard and touch screen handwriting recognition software.

The next-generation Clio will have many features not available in the original, such as built-in Wi-Fi, USB slots, a faster processor, multiple memory card slots, as well as an MP3 player and audio in/out ports.

The Clio NXT will run Microsofts Windows CE .NET 4.2 Professional operating system.

The company expects to begin shipping the Clio NXT in early 2005. No pricing information is available at this time.
