Audiovox Shows New Pocket PC Phone

Audiovox showed off a new Pocket PC phone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The upcoming Audiovox PPC 5050 is a dual-band CDMA/PCS phone that runs Microsoft's Windows Mobile Phone Edition 2003 software. The phone features a 3.5-inch touch-sensitive color screen and an MP3 player, and is powered by an Intel 400MHz processor. The unit has 64MB of memory and a DS/MMC slot for extra memory.

The PPC 5050 includes 1500mAH lithium ion battery, which reportedly gives five hours of talk time or 200 hours standby time. Also included is an AC adapter, carrying case, stereo headset, stylus pen and USB cradle.
