It looks like Dell has finally begun shipping a fix for the performance problem to Axim X5 Pocket PC owners. As most Axim users know, Dell tried to post the patch on their web site some time ago, but it was quickly removed as it allowed some people to upgrade to Windows Mobile 2003. Dell then said it would release an update CD in August, but that date went by without a fix. It appears that Dell has finally resolved the issue and is shipping the CD.
