Gateway Reveals a Few Details About Its Pocket PC

Gateway has released a few more deatails about its first PDA offering. Gateway's PDA will run Microsoft's Pocket PC 2003. It has Intel 400MHz XScale processor, 3.5-inch display, dual CompactFlash and Secure Digital slots. It is expected to be available in mid to late-July and sell for between $300 and $350.

The company said the Gateway Pocket PC will target business professionals, and will be included in bundled mobility solutions for businesses, corporations, schools and government agencies.

"Gateway's new PDAs will be ideal for on-the-go professionals and tech-savvy consumers," said Mike Stinson, Gateway's vice president of mobile products. "With Gateway's many channels - from the Web to our nationwide network of Gateway stores - we'll be able to reach customers in unique ways and bundle handhelds with other Gateway products to create mobility solutions."
