News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - May 30, 2003

According to rumors on many web sites and newsgroups, Pocket PC 2003 is set to be released in June. Although not all the details of the new OS are known, its major feature is better support for wireless capabilities.

PPC 2003 will apparently offer built-in support for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Internet Explorer will get a major upgrade with support for XHTML, CSS, JavaScript 5.5, animated GIFs, and improved performance. It will also include support for SMS (Short Mail Messaegs).

Other improvements include a new application for viewing images as well as Windows Media Player 9.
