Verizon Announces 2 New Smart Phones

Verizon has announced plans to release two new smartphones, 1 Palm OS and 1 Pocket PC, as well as the new Blackberry 6750.

The Kyocera 7135 runs the Palm OS and will be available in April through Verizon Wireless' business sales division. It features a clamshell design with the screen on one side and the Graffiti area, buttons, and a phone keypad on the other. It is the first Palm OS Smartphone to sport this design. It has a 160 by 160 pixel, 65,000-color display, an SD/MMC slot, and a built-in MP3 player. It comes with 16 MB of RAM

The Samsung i700 has 64 MB of RAM and 64 MB of ROM. It has a digital camera, a SD card slot, and runs on the Microsoft Pocket PC platform. This is a full functioning PDA with phone capabilities. Date of release for the i700 is unknown at this time.
