Toshiba's e750 Pocket PC with Built-in Wi-Fi

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 11, 2003

Toshiba has officially released the e750 series Pocket PC. This is an updated version of the e740. It has the new Intel XScale PXA255 running at 400 MHz with a 200 MHz bus (instead of the more common 100 MHz).

Toshiba's web site says it comes with 96 MB of RAM which breaks down to 64 MB of RAM and 32 MB of user-accessible NAND Flash ROM.

The e750 includes a new transflective screen that is 3.8 inches and 240 by 320 pixels and can display 16-bit color. It has a SD/MMC slot and a Type I/II CompactFlash slot. It also has a stereo headphone/microphone jack. 1-RGB (Monitor) port and 1-USB port may be added via the optional Expansion Pack.

One of the main features of the e750 is the integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless networking. So no more wires to hook up to your home network. (If you don't have a wireless router yet, get one. It makes life so much easier.)

The price for the e750 is $599 and can be ordered at Toshiba's web site.
