Rumor: MPx200 Camera?

According to a report by MPx200.org, they were sent a document that leaked out of Motorola describing a plan to develop a digital camera that will connect to the MPx200. It is unknown if the document is valid as it is dated as of last summer.

If this camera is released it will be able to take pictures with a 640-by-480 pixel resolution. The expected price of the camera was $120.

The Specs:

  • VGA SDIO camera
  • Full color preview (176x220 pixels 65K color phone display) allows viewing before saving640x480
  • JPEG resolution @ 0.8 sec capture time
  • Swivel lens to easily capture both self-portrait and traditional forward-facing photos
  • Focus range 30cm to infinity
  • Viewing angle 56º diagonal Minimum
  • Illumination 10 lux (5 lux if possible)
