Sierra Wireless Introduces the Voq Smart Phone

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 08, 2003

Sierra Wireless has announced a new line of smart phones which will use Microsoft Windows Mobile for Smartphone. This very cool looking phone, the Voq, will feature both a phone keypad and flip-open QWERTY thumbpad. You get the best of both worlds with this phone.

The Voq has a 200 MHz Intel PXA262 Xscale processor, 32MB of RAM, and 48MB of Flash memory. The Voq will have a 220 by 176 pixel screen and a joystick for user input which means no touch screen. It will also have a SD/MMC slot for removable memory cards.

These will be tri-band world phones, supporting global GSM voice networks and GPRS data networks.

The Voq is set to debut sometime in the middle of 2004. No word on the price of this phone yet. Check out www.voq.com for more details.
