The Power Handheld looks unlike anything we've seen before. Maybe you could say it's close to a Nokia Communicator, but it looks a lot better than that. It's the first mobile device to feature a VGA display that presents web pages like a laptop, a retractable QWERTY thumb-type keyboard, GSM cell phone, and built-in radio technology to access high-speed, always-on GPRS wireless data networks. They do all of this while still keeping the footprint of the device very small.
The Power Handheld features an Intel XScale PXA250 processor running at up to 400MHz, 64MB RAM, with 32MB Flash memory. Additional storage is available via one SD memory card.
The screen is a backlit four-inch color LCD (TFT) screen that displays 65k colors with VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) in landscape mode. Full VGA resolution allows users to view web pages and other documents nearly a full page at a time.
The coolest part of the device is its slide-out (retractable) QWERTY thumb-type keyboard. This is a bit larger than that of the RIM Blackberry and Palm i705.
The Power Handheld also features an integrated dual-band GSM cell phone which allows for speakerphone or headset operation.
This looks like the coolest PDA to date. What do you think? Give us your feedback.
