Speed Trap Notifications via your PDA

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - September 11, 2002

It has happened to all of us at one time or another. We're driving down the highway and we get caught in a speed trap. Microsoft's new .NET may help make those days a thing of the past.

CopAlert is a new system in development which will utilize .NET technology to allow users to receive notifications about speed traps via their Pocket PC, Handheld PC, or cellular telephone.

The CopAlert website says that the service will be free. It will be up to the users to make the system work, so they're not going to charge anything for signing up.
