News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - August 02, 2002

T-Mobile USA, also known as VoiceStream, Thursday began offering a company-branded Pocket PC Phone Edition handheld device to its customers in cooperation with Microsoft.

The voice-enabled smartphone, features Microsoft's software and is designed to run on Voicestream's GSM/GPRS network.

As you can see the device looks like a PocketPC with an antenna on it. We've seen a growing number of companies trying to blend the phone and pda capabilities into a sinlge unit.

The T-mobile phone enables wireless Internet connections as well as access to corporate networks, e-mail and personal information management from nearly 8000 cities across the country.

The pricetag is $549.99 but you do get a $50 rebate for if you sign up for specific voice and data plans.
